Highlights

• Multi-company - Most organizations include more than one entity, and more than one form of business.  While most systems only talk about  multi-company features, ACCPAC's Executive Series walks the walk by maintaining default inter-company accounts for inter-company journal entry processing.  In addition, Customers and Vendors can be shared across companies.
• Attachments - ACCPAC ES allows you to attach an unlimited number of files to documents or items throughout the system.  While attachments are allowed in many systems, few others are this powerful -  allowing any file type including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Bitmaps, other image file formats, and more. 
• Foreign currency - the system is designed to keep track of all currency amounts in every native and foreign currency you specify.  Whenever a user needs a report in another currency, the system simply pulls the correct amount from the database and the report occurs almost instantly.
• Work flow - Documents and items can be routed to other ACCPAC ES users for review or approval.  Users can be set up to receive different types of transactions and items and dollar limits can be set for different users.  Edits to items(vendors, vouchers, journal entries, etc.) can also trigger re-approval of these items.  Each user can monitor their "in tray" to find items requiring their review or approval.  
• User Interface -Each user can select whether he/ she wants a menu, outline, panel or tab interface and can also customize the toolbar location and format.
• Choice of Databases- Oracle, SQL or Sybase Adaptive Server. 
• Customization Capabilities - ACCPAC ES provides full access to its Powerbuilder source code.

 Common Selection Considerations

• Generally targeted towards companies with revenues between $30 million to $500 million
• To some extent, has taken a back seat to ACCPAC Advantage.
• ACCPAC Executive is best suited for the Manufacturing industry, ranging from process manufacturing at one extreme to discrete manufacturing such as engineered to order, made to order, and make to stock situations. However, ACCPAC Executive is well suited for inventory and distribution situations, service companies, project costing situations, and more.  
• Older menu design based on module approach.
